Location and Opening Hours

The Natural Science Institute of Iceland operates at five locations: Akranes, Akureyri, Mývatnssveit, Breiðdalsvík, and Garðabær.

The reception in Garðabær is open Monday to Thursday from 10:00 to 15:00 and Fridays from 10:00 to 12:00. The institute's head office is in Akranes, but there is no formal reception there or at the other locations. Therefore, it is important to make arrangements in advance if planning a visit.

The phone service is available on all working days from 9:00 to 16:00 at +354 430 9000.
